Sticky because the Prawns caught on this side of Falmouth bay are more succulent, juicy and sweet than others. This wonderful quayside restaurant is brimming with continental character; it is intimate, relaxed and fabulously positioned-surrounded by still waters with views of Falmouth and the estuary that cannot be beaten. This gives the restaurant and its location a certain romance, sitting outside on a sunny day you could be in the south of France or on the Italian Riviera without the crowds and bustle, the location is serene and calm.
Father and son team Paul and Ben bought the building several years ago and have built a healthy reputation for the quality of food and the ambiance, Ben and Paul change the style of the menu twice a year but the dishes change daily and draw on influences gained from their travel around the world from the Med to the West Indies. Full menus run for lunch and dinner and include up to eight fresh seafood and fish dishes, whatever is caught that day will be on the menu.
The restaurant used to be the old resting rooms for the fishermen who ran the Packet Ships, once an extremely busy quay, Flushing is now a tranquil haven for visitors and locals to sit and watch the world go by, Flushing marks the start and finish of the coastal walk and the Sticky Prawn the perfect place to retire to after the mild exertion.
